LEFSE BUTTER DAYS - for Festival

We need volunteers for the lefse buttering and finishing crew! This is a lively, team-based effort with lots of different roles, including lefse dampening/runners, the buttering brigade, cutting, and packaging. It’s a fun, fast-paced way to be part of the process, connect with others, and help get everything ready for the Astoria Scandinavian Festival. Come lend a hand—many roles, many laughs, and plenty of lefse to go around!

Lodge Lefse Making for Festival

We’re looking for volunteers to join us for our annual lefse-making days! Come be part of the community, learn how to make this cherished Scandinavian heritage food, and help support the lodge as we prepare lefse for the upcoming Astoria Scandinavian Festival. Bring a friend - you don’t have to be norwegian! Lefse sales go towards the Lodge’s annual operating expense so this is a great event to participate in and support Nidaros!

Lefse making will take place May 15–17 (Friday - Saturday - Sunday) from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Nidaros Lodge.

There are plenty of ways to help—mixing, rolling, making dough balls, and cooking—so no experience is needed. Join us for good company, great food, and a great cause!

Return in June for Lefse buttering days - see details in events!

Nidaros Christmas Potluck

It’s that time of year—dust off your favorite holiday sweater and bring your appetite!

Members, family, and friends are all invited to gather around the table (and the fire) for our annual Christmas potluck. We’ve got the ham and potatoes covered—you bring those legendary sides, salads, and desserts that make potlucks the stuff of holiday dreams.

There’ll be spiked eggnog, a fun little Jul raffle, and plenty of warm, fireside chatter to go around. Come for the food, stay for the company, and leave full—heart and belly both.

Put it on the calendar—because nothing says “God Jul” like good friends and good food.
