A Celebration of Camp – Closing Ceremony Showcase

At the end of an unforgettable week, campers shine at the Closing Ceremony, where they proudly share what they’ve learned with family and friends. From folk dances and Norwegian songs to skits, crafts, and stories, this joyful event is a chance for parents to see the confidence, creativity, and cultural pride their children have gained.

It’s a heartfelt sendoff filled with laughter, applause, and a few happy tears—a perfect finale to a week of growth, friendship, and Norwegian fun.

These videos were shared by a 1976-1978 camp alum whose son became a second-generation camper in 2016. He continued his journey at Trollhaugen and later attended a Folkehøgskole in Northern Norway in 2022—where he became fluent in Norwegian! To this day he often meets up with those he met at Nidaros!
